People always ask me where my drive comes from. How do I stay consistent year after year? How do I push through the days when I don’t feel like training? The honest answer is my faith.
Christ has changed my life just like fitness has changed my life. These two things — my relationship with God and my commitment to physical discipline — aren’t separate parts of my life. They’re deeply connected, and one fuels the other every single day.
The Body as a Gift
I believe our bodies are a gift, and taking care of them is an act of gratitude. When I train, I’m not just building muscle or chasing aesthetics. I’m honoring the body I’ve been given by making it as strong, healthy, and capable as possible.
This perspective changes everything about how you approach fitness. It stops being about vanity and starts being about stewardship. You’re not punishing your body — you’re investing in it.
Discipline Transfers
The discipline I’ve built through daily training carries into every other area of my life. Waking up early to work out teaches you to show up when it’s hard. Pushing through a tough set teaches you to persevere when life gets difficult. Being consistent with your nutrition teaches you that small daily choices compound into massive results.
These are the same principles I see in my walk with God — daily commitment, showing up even when you don’t feel like it, trusting the process even when you can’t see immediate results.
Why Christian Men Need Physical Discipline
I think there’s a real need for men — especially men of faith — to take their physical health seriously. Not for pride or ego, but because you can’t serve your family, your community, or your purpose if your body is breaking down.
Being physically strong gives you the energy and capacity to show up for the people who depend on you. It builds confidence that helps you lead. And the mental toughness you develop through training prepares you for the real challenges life throws at you.
Finding Community
One of the most rewarding parts of sharing my faith alongside my fitness content has been connecting with other men who share these values. Through my YouTube channel and my coaching program, I’ve met guys from all over the world who are using fitness as a way to become better men — physically, mentally, and spiritually.
That sense of brotherhood and accountability is powerful. When you surround yourself with people who share your values and your commitment to growth, you all rise together.
My Daily Practice
My morning starts with prayer and Scripture before I train. It centers me, reminds me of my purpose, and puts the day’s work in perspective. Whether I’m filming a video, coaching a client, or pushing through a tough training session, that foundation carries me through.
If you’re a man of faith looking to take your fitness seriously, I want you to know — these two pursuits don’t compete with each other. They complement each other in ways that will transform every area of your life.
Helping people and get paid doing something that I love — that’s what this journey has given me. And it all started with a decision to honor God with my body and share what I learned along the way.
